How many boxes do you need?
As many as you have people to ask. Bridal parties come in all sizes — some couples have one bridesmaid, others have five or more. We make each box to order so there's no minimum quantity. Whether you need one box or ten, each one will be made with the same care and attention.
When should you give them?
There's no rule — but most couples give proposal boxes a few months after getting engaged, once the excitement has settled and you're starting to think seriously about who you want by your side. Giving them early also gives your bridesmaids time to save the date and get involved in planning if they want to.
Some couples do a group reveal where everyone opens their box together, which makes for a beautiful and very photogenic moment. Others prefer to give them individually for a more intimate experience. Both work — it really depends on your group.
A note on the small boxes
Our small boxes (180 x 180 x 80mm) are a great option if you're keeping things simple or working with a tighter budget. They're perfectly sized for jewellery, a candle or a few smaller items. The main difference is that the smaller size doesn't accommodate an inside lid message — so if the personal touch inside the lid matters to you, the large box is the one to go for.
